Union staff have contributed a chapter to a new tobacco control textbook for public health professionals, Legislation and Smoking Prevention.

It explores why legislation is necessary and effective for reducing tobacco consumption and the premature deaths it causes. It aims to give the reader a comprehensive overview of tobacco control legislation and its potential impact on the future of the tobacco control epidemic.

The piece was written by the Department of Tobacco Control’s director, Dr Ehsan Latif, and technical officer Valerie Warner.
